Happy Heart Day!

Y'all! Long time no see!
Blogging is just one of those things i have to desire to do, or else it doesn't get done. And lately its just not been there. Perhaps the same reason I'm at home from school working on a 10 page paper that's due, today.
Hmmmm. Busy much?

But Valentines Day could just not go out without some good memories!
All of us L kids woke up to a precious breakfast. Filled with muffins, pink milk, lots of treats and of course candy.

While the rest of the house got ready, me and this dude had some QT, I'm always so rushed in the mornings and since I could go in a little later, I chose to enjoy some moments with this precious prince.

And no morning is complete without some precious pages of this FABULOUS book to keep your eyes open and your perspective wide.

As a Senior we've had several breakfasts throughout the year, one for cap and gown stuff, one with our daddy's and on Valentines Day, it was especially reserved for the mommas and my Mommy couldn't have been happier!

It was absolutely precious.
The pictures, sitting with her high school bff and her bff from when we first moved here when i was oh so little. It was like a lifetime of memories at my table, right before my eyes.

I have to say, getting to come back and graduate with the girl who's been by my side since day one, is pretty fabulous. Every day i see her at school, my heart just smiles. God is so so good!

Love these ladies! And all the memories we share!

After a fun filled day at school, too much candy to imagine and some time at work, I got off and had some precious girls waiting for our night of fun.

We went out to a local Tex Mex place, thinking it wouldnt be too crowded. HA
We had too much fun waiting in line, and then enjoying some frozen yogurt.

So thankful for this girl, she's awesome!

and so thankful that one of my sweet mentees could join us for a night of fun! 

I had a fantastic Valentines day, and I hope yours was just as great!!

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. Waiting for graduation, waiting to know what the rest of my life is going to look like, waiting on contract updates and internship approvals, waiting on interviews, Creation studies to END (forever and ever amen), leases to run out, May to arrive and my next chapter to begin. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
