following grace

gosh y'all life has been SO insane. and I love LU, like love it. but every month or so, my heart longs for time at home. or just to get off campus for a few days.   this weekend away has been in the works for months. and the way all the details fell into place so perfectly made it the cherry on top of my month thus far.   Saturday morning I drove through the snow and all rushing to meet my sweet Gracie Lou for breakfast. it was so worth every moment in the car and an early early wake up to see her sweet face, hear her laugh and to listen to her tell me about her life these days. these are the sweet times I cherish the most.   after a sweet time with her I drove the other hour of my trip to meet the birthday boy and some family for his birthday lunch. goodness I can't believe he's 11! he just loved being the center of attention, and we loved spoiling him with cupcakes and a yummy l...

My 18th was one for the books.   I mean I know being legal is fun, but I think the fun I had was a whole new level.   Since I went home for my birthday the night before a bunch of my fav girls from my hall, and Abby went to dinner. We had such a blast!   And on my actual birthday my alarm woke me up with this picture. Pretty stinkin cute, I think. ;)   My phone had been blowing up for hours, and I saw one of my kinders from last year's mom had posted a picture and tagged me, so this was the first thing I saw upon waking up. Seriously, if that doesn't make you crack a smile, you're crazy. It made my entire day!   I started my day off by having my fav kind of pop-tart. Because whats a birthday without fun breakfast? So in honor, of me turning 18 tomorrow.. here are my top 17 moments of year 17. They're in no special order, completely random. :)   17. Moving and coming back to my home church.     Coming back to my home town and being able to worship and be back with the people I love so dear, was quite possibly amazing and a key factor in my 17th year.   16. Touring colleges   touring schools was so much fun and made me feel so grown up. But hilariously, the schools I toured I didn't end up at.   15. Meeting my BFF for the first time.   Oh what a wonderful experience. After 2 years of talking via text and internet. I finally got to hug and see my BFF face to face.   14. My Mika   moving back and having my Mika there to teach me and do life with me. Was amazing. I so love her and am so thankful she was there to support me through my Senior Year.   13.
