When you Hide, I seek.

Lately
I feel like I'm walking in circles.
 
just whispering over and over
"Where are you Lord?"
 
Sometimes when..
schoolwork is stressful
the future is daunting
my calendar seems to have no spaces left
my due dates overlap
the to-do lists, never gets "to-done"
my laundry overflows
the crumbs on my floor just collect
and I have no idea where to even begin to get myself together
 
I just wanna run
run away, perhaps to somewhere warm, where its not snowing
where the wind is merely a sunkissed breeze and things are nice and peaceful.
 
Lately,
I feel like I am drowning in the chaos of life.
 
But just today, as I broke down and cried out to the Lord
I walked into class and the very door door I had been waiting on; he swung
WIDE open.
 
Just remember, he never fails.
 
When you think he's hiding, SEEK him.
 
He will reveal his secrets
in his perfect timing.
 
Jeremiah 33:3 says
"Behold, I will tell you great and mighty things for which you do not know."
 
He will, just when you're ready to scream and give up.

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. Waiting for graduation, waiting to know what the rest of my life is going to look like, waiting on contract updates and internship approvals, waiting on interviews, Creation studies to END (forever and ever amen), leases to run out, May to arrive and my next chapter to begin. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
