When in Florida.. 2015

since moving into my own place and starting a full time job
being able to go home and visit my peeps has been super rare
so it was super nice to be able to get away from work and life in VA
to spend 10 days in Florida with my favorite people.
 
We started off our vacay in Orlando
where we hit up Disney for a day and spent the
next morning in Downtown Disney.
 
Stephen had never been to Disney so it was so
fun to make his dream come true.
 


















 
then on Monday, we packed it up after lunch at the
Rainforest Café and headed down to Sanibel Island.
One of our favorite vacay spots, which we hadn't
been to in 8 years so it was much needed.
 
We just spent the week on the island touring around
spending days on the beach and at the pool and just relaxed
it was so so nice to be on island time and the perfect getaway
for our little L family.




 
our 2nd full day I woke up with the left side of my face the size of a balloon.
so I spent the day at the doctor and the pharmacy, but thankfully
meds allowed for me to be back at it by day 3.
 

 















 
we had such a good week away and it was so hard to come back.
but we did bring back some pretty great tan lines. ;)
 
it was a wonderful week on the island indeed.

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. Waiting for graduation, waiting to know what the rest of my life is going to look like, waiting on contract updates and internship approvals, waiting on interviews, Creation studies to END (forever and ever amen), leases to run out, May to arrive and my next chapter to begin. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
