following grace

Last night we drove an hour to a big city nearby to go to Dad's favorite restaraunt and celebrate his new job! Landon brought her crazy friend Zoe. The two of them truly never cease to make me laugh. and we insisted on a picture with the handsome waiters. ;-) So thankful for a wonderful daddy who provides so well for our family. and so thankful for an amazing God who never ceases to take care of his children. Oh Praise the one who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead. -Austyn :)

Here we are a week later and I'm behind. As usual. What a suprise! Our NYE was quite calm. We were heading to dinner but plans changed so we followed through with our plans.. Landon went to a friends and i went to babysit. We had church the next morning so i picked her up about 1am and we called it a night. She got all fancied up and i looked a hot mess so i'm stunned i am even putting these on here. Have to document.. Where are the days that she was a cute little blonde with ringed curls, paci in mouth, in her cute pj's? Austyn, the shofur. She warned me it looks like i had champagne behind me. Go teenager! This week i started an internship at the Elementary school nearby. I have always wanted to be a teacher. I am really interested in 1st grade but i was given a kindergarten classroom. The teacher i'm with is so nice. the kids are too cute and i really enjoy going. Every day when i get there we pick up the kids from specials and get started on our journals. Once the kids write them, sound out their words, draw their pictures and share we move on to Star Kids, which is a reading program. The kids have so much fun and today after leading them in the activities i was so proud of myself that i managed to do so i took some pictures of the kids working and my example on the board. We had to pick the correct letters and sounds and then color code the Lions beds. They go with a theme. I remember last New Years Eve as if it was yesterday and here we are, a year later. 2011 has been a wonderful year full of fun, laughter, loving and hard core jesus bonding. But in the same boat it's been one of many struggles, many tears, and trusting in our God. Since i know you don't wanna hear about my "resolutions" i actually don't have any, i just have goals for myself. So here's a trip down memory lane. I am almost in tears at some of these pictures remembering such fun memories! In January a year ago today me and my BFF Gabby kicked off the New Year with some choclate fondue. Yummo. Soon after we got our first snow of the year. We all LOVED playing in it and even Grammy was here to enjoy.
