Home Sweet home.

Wherever that might be these days..

Our life in the past week and a half has absolutely taken a complete 360. A week ago we found out we were moving and ever since we hit the ground running.
Me and Landon roadtripped on Monday to our new home abode.

We love it. So cute and quaint. HUGE yard, almost in the country, Quiet cute  neigbors, perfect distance from everything. God is so good.

We even gave the little brother a turn at mowing the grass. With so much yard, you have to take what help you can get! ;)

it's been so good to catch up with old friends. 6 years is a long time.

signing up for school is so exciting when its your SENIOR year and you get to graduate with all your old Sunday school buds!

and i can't lie, coming home to my sweet Lucy today was more exciting than i could've ever imagined. Thank goodness she gets to make the trip to the new house behind the moving truck Sunday. Poor girl can't miss out on the fun!

So if you were wondering why i was in a blogging funk, now you know. Bear with me as i try to sort my belongings and get my ducks in a row. Hope to be back soon with Back to school shenanigans!

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. Waiting for graduation, waiting to know what the rest of my life is going to look like, waiting on contract updates and internship approvals, waiting on interviews, Creation studies to END (forever and ever amen), leases to run out, May to arrive and my next chapter to begin. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
