I WAS a little girl..

Tommorow i start my Senior year. Say what!?
 
so much has changed this summer. its just hilarious and sad at the same time.
New friends, new home, new thoughts, new outlooks, new schools, new teachers, new church, new perspectives, new confidence.
 
But at the same time.. friends moving away, Me moving away, leaving behind everything i've called my own for 6 years, starting over.
 
I can safely say, i am ready to face the year head on. I'm starting to get situated, love my classes and teachers. Love that my best friend lives an hour away, and i can roadtrip. Love being able to redecorate my room and organize.
 
So sometimes, God uses the sad stuff to make the good stuff. And it works.
 
Going to a christian school was a wake up call for me. I just feel so rejuvianted with joy and refreshed in God's word and his promises. He is so so good to us, all the time. Sometimes we just have to stop and see that.

Ya know because i look so much different in the past few weeks! ;)

 
Praying for a wonderful last hoo-rah in school. Praying for sweet new friends, great grades, college acceptances, new beginnings and a new start. Lots of fun!

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. Waiting for graduation, waiting to know what the rest of my life is going to look like, waiting on contract updates and internship approvals, waiting on interviews, Creation studies to END (forever and ever amen), leases to run out, May to arrive and my next chapter to begin. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
