Wherever. Whenever. Whatever.

I've really been toddling on Obedience lately.
 
So many things are happening all at once, and i just want to make sure I'm obedient to Christ and his will for my life.
 
God calls us to crazy things, crazy places and at the craziest times.
but sometimes, we just brush it off. and say
"oh no, god. next time i'll do what you ask, next time"
 
With college coming up i have just really been persistent in prayer about obedience.
 
God if you call me to the slums of Africa and tell me to live there and love on those who don't have love. I'll go
 
If you call me to go to college and get a degree and help your people here. I will.
 
If you call me to be friends with someone i dont particularly want to be friends with. I'll do it.
 
God's word says in John 14
where you go, I will prepare a place for you.
 
Y'all.
He is the ULTIMATE protector.
He's gonna prepare us for what we're in for.
He's gonna see to our safety.
He's going to let us in on his crazy exciting plans he has.
 
he will NOT let us miss out.
He has a plan and it is FAR greater than we could dream of.
 
So when he's calling you to something..
Are you being obedient?

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. Waiting for graduation, waiting to know what the rest of my life is going to look like, waiting on contract updates and internship approvals, waiting on interviews, Creation studies to END (forever and ever amen), leases to run out, May to arrive and my next chapter to begin. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
