Summertime Shenanigans

From the minute I arrived home for the summer, my feet hit the ground running.
 
It has been a complete blast, and I am soaking up every minute of memories.
Landon started her new job recently
when she closes she likes to load us up on donuts, by the dozens.

Precious princess dance recitals melt my heart.

Jesus time on the dock holds a special place in my heart.

touring colleges and meeting new friends.

Kindergarten graduations with this cutie.

Never a dull moment making dinner at camp..

this is how we get stuff done on minimum sleep.

trips to the beach after long work weekends, are much needed.

so so honored to be in my sweet friend's wedding in August.

dinner dates with him make me realize how much I love being home.
and how sad I am to leave again soon.

Afternoon pool dates.

new glasses.

visits with family I haven't seen in YEARS.
so so good to catch up!

and sometimes you can find joy in crazy curls and cavities.
 
just maybe not in the fact that I have to be numbed at 8am tomorrow.
 
Soaking up these summer days, and counting down the days until
screaming kiddos and sunburns over take my days.
Camp, here I come. {15 days!!}

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. Waiting for graduation, waiting to know what the rest of my life is going to look like, waiting on contract updates and internship approvals, waiting on interviews, Creation studies to END (forever and ever amen), leases to run out, May to arrive and my next chapter to begin. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
