Out with the Old, In with the New.
There once was a day, a day that I promised to do something
so incredible, so time consuming, and yet so freeing..
I promised to blog often.
To keep the world wide web up to date on Austyn's every life event.
To keep the world wide web up to date on Austyn's every life event.
and then life took over, and we see where that went.
But 2015 holds new opportunity, and while I can't promise
which opportunities I will take advantage of, I can promise,
to simply try.
try to make time, try to make blogging a
priority, try to let this be a place full of thoughts, life events, pictures
and Jesus.
so with that being said, here's to 2015
{even if im 48 hours late..}
being a year of new beginnings
new blogging habits
and raising HIS name from every rooftop.
Life lately, has been so full of Him.
and oh friends, what a joy it is
to truly delight in Him.
Just say, "Yes!" and let Him
take you for the wildest ride of your life.
There is no greater joy in making a decision.
coming from yours truly, who doesn't make decisions.
{No, really. ask my friends}
Just letting go, and letting him take the reigns.
Y'all it is life changing.
2014 held a lot of memories, and learning experiences.
but using those speed bumps to hit the breaks and just roll
oh. my. lanta.
life changing.
I have always been one to think I had it together.
I plan my life like it's a job, my pristine planner is my BFF.
at least I put on a good show.
my check list is out 22 1/2 hours a day
and im constantly at it with my pen.
it's a great list, always compiling of millions of things.
but for a long time, the top thing was always Jesus.
As if we can just place him on a line and check Him off.
Oh mercy, do I wish I would've learned this lesson so much sooner.
The greatest thing I ever did, was take Jesus off my check list.
{some of you are getting in your cars coming at me with pitch forks}
but really, my Savior, is just that. My Savior.
He is not a check of the to-do list.
He is SO much more!
He is my friend, my Father, my faithful confident, my lover, my grace giver,
my forgiver, my Redeemer, my pardoner of sins, my shelter, my helping hand.
for goodness sake He is the KING of Kings. Lord of Lords.
friends, there is no one greater.
no one.
and after coming to this realization and turning my life in a 180 twist
and seeking to glorify Him with every breath I take.
or rather, actually park myself in the passenger seat
instead of just claiming to.
He has turned my life upside down. in the best of ways.
He has healed, drawn me so close to His heart, and allowed
me the best of freedom to just sit at His feet and
delight in His presence.
like I never have before.
For so long, I have been so complacent.
jumping on the roller coaster of Christianity.
one day im on a great high and a month later things get hard and
i'm hitting the breaks.
but as the bible says...
those that are lukewarm for God, he wants to spit out of his mouth.
he wants nothing to do with them.
and by gosh, I am not taking chances of being spit out of my creators mouth.
So 2014 was the time to change. to light a fire
and burn for Christ.
and as a result of such a change and months to prepare my heart and get right with
Him and seek Him fully. I have a passion to see a change of scenery around here too..
I so desire for this here ol blog to be a place of grace,
a place of passion, a place of love and one
where Jesus is proclaimed in every word, sentence, paragraph and post.
He is so worthy of so much more than this blog could ever give Him.
but this I pray, that when I do find time to post and publish
that it would always be pointed at Him.
making Him famous, and pouring the same love and grace
he gives me, to all of you.
I hope that my words will encourage you, help you and inspire you to live a life
of abandonment. to leave your burdens at the cross, to rest in His presence
and truly seek him with everything in you.
and I hope that in 2015 we will start to see the Kingdom of glory
more than we ever have before.
So friends, here's to a year of radical abandonment,
Kingdom seeking and making HIM famous!
He is going to rock our world! I just cannot wait to see what He has in store!
"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
nor entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for
those who love Him."
1 Corinthians 2:9
With love,
Austyn
