We know how to walk, but do we know where we're going?

Lately the Lord has just really been stirring my heart.

With the end of school stress, moving into my first place,
learning to adjust to summer and getting news I never wanted to hear.

it has been quite the adjustment, but such a glorious one.
there's something about just knowing him intimately that
beats anything I could ever explain.

ya know I've been thinking
he knows each and every hair on our head
he knows the bags under our eyes after long nights
he knows the wrinkles on our forehead
the lines on our hands..

but do we know him like that?

is it possible that we're missing the point.
we say we know him
but do we really know Him?

It's been my goal in the past few days
to just be still, and know.

quite frankly sometimes or all the time
I'm lost.
I look up and don't know the cleared path is
and I know how to walk,
but I don't have any idea where I'm going

the Lord has really been just teaching me
to sharpen my focus strictly on Him.
because ultimately when I look up
the only thing I wanna be pointed to is
Christ.

I've had quite a few trip-ups thrown at me
since school's gotten out
but when my focus is centered on Christ
every log that rolls on my path doesn't trip me up
I'm able to just jump over it and keep pressing on.

when we follow after Him with everything we have
suddenly our weakness isn't weakness
it's power.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected
in weakness...
Therefore I am well content with weaknesses,
with insults, with distresses, with persecutions,
with difficulties, for Christ's sake;
for when I am weak, then I am strong."
2 Cor 9&10

Sometimes we just need to focus on the GPS himself
so that we never question where it is we're going.
because even when we're lost, we're found.

it's a hard walk, but a walk that's worth it.

I'm really stuck on this song lately..
the lyrics speak life to my soul.

"Spirit of the living God,
Spirit of the living God
We only want to hear Your voice,
We're hanging on every word
Cause when You speak, When You move
When You do what only You can do
It changes us, it changes what we see and what we seek"

May we tune into His voice,
so that we move when He moves
and fall when he falls

Follow hard after him friends.

"Often the very things that you think have disqualified you are the things
that qualify you to do what God has called you to do."
-Christine Caine

Remember that those bumps in the road
aren't disqualifiers, but they qualify you
they enable you to do the very thing which
the Lord has called you to do.

in those moments of what we think is weakness
and confusion, we are strong because of Him.

He doesn't call the equipped
he equips the called.

You are so loved, and valued, friend.
Stay Strong,
and stay tuned into Him.

Until next time,
Austyn
