Simply JoyFULL

something the Lord has just really been
pressing on my heart lately, is my lack of patience and trust with Him.
I am a planner at heart, I want all the plans
in ink, color coated and set in stone from the start
and im sure y'all have realized Jesus doesn't quite work that way.

He has really just been showing me over and over
and over again, that His timing is so incredibly perfect.
indeed it is so worth it to wait on Him and His timing.
things always work better that way.

last night, as my bible study group from church
had our "home" night. We all cozied up in the cutest of
IKEA's furniture with big bowls of chili and chocolate to follow
and we just straight up bragged on Jesus for 2 hours.
and it was absolutely delightfully wonderful.
just sharing my story with my sweet friends, and major events
in my life that have led up to where I am now,
all of them just point to one theme.
His perfect timing.
He is always faithful, always on time- in His time,
and he always comes through.
He hears our prayers, and he answers them.
always. always. always.

This week there have been a few things that were Huge on my heart
and very covered in prayer for weeks, months and one of them even years
and he answered all of them, and here I sit humbled again
by his incredible faithfulness.

and as I sit down to ponder all of these things.
His timing, His faithfulness, His goodness
and His blessings.

I just can't help but think about something else he's been showing me recently
which is just simply
to find Joy in the little things.

To quit always focusing on the mud I fell in,
the rain that won't go away, and the assignment I
forgot to turn in
and to choose to notice the millions of blessings
he gives me everyday.
Like friends who show up with chai before my test,
laughter, love, people in my life who pray for me,
a plan for my life, a roof above my head,
even the door that was held open for me
in the rain this morning.

why are we so caught up in counting things against Jesus?
as if he hasn't come through enough for us already..
he stinkin sent his ONLY son to die on the Cross for us
and we still have the nerve to complain
about how nothing is quite up to our standards.

Oh friends,
may we quit hurting his heart
and start thanking him and appreciating the
abundance of JOY he gives us.
on a minute-by-minute basis.

I find it hard, myself not to be so wrapped up in
Him when I choose to think about all the ways
He loves me, blesses me and brings Joy to my life.

I'm choosing to find Joy in the simple
and if you'll join me
I want us to share our simple joys that he gives us
and bring more fame to His name.

so if you find joy in the simple today, tomorrow
and any day in the future- do me a favor and
post a picture and hashtag it, if you would.

#simplyjoyFULL

let's spread His name y'all
and simply be FULL of Joy!

Until next time,
Austyn
