Father to the Fatherless

As I sat in church on Sunday, the Lord did a work in me. Anytime the sermon is on Adoption, I get chills. But this week my heart was shattered, I was shaken out of my seat.   I was so so broken. and burdened to move.    Realizing, that for the 6 years of having this sweet boy in our family that I have thought my job was done. I had rescued an orphan, helped the least of these. the end. Instead, my job is not done but it has just begun. There are 120,000 orphans in the USA alone. if one in every 1300 people who profess to be a Christian would do just as the word directs us to, and love the least of these. There would be NO orphans in the United States. If that doesn't get you, I'm not sure what will. We are called, as doers of the word to follow as the Lord leads. To go to all the nations, even our own and love the least of these. God is the Father to the Fatherless. They all need a heavenly father, but they just as well nee...

Spring Break 2014

I was forced to skip all my classes and spin circles down the highway.   Needless to say, Spring Break got off to a groovy start! ;)   When I finally got home I was warmly welcomed;  I quickly vowed I wouldn't get back in the car for days. On Saturday my sweet boy had his end of the season celebration for bball We went to watch the Soar Dunk team from my University perform. It was so cool, and I loved soaking up the sunshine with the cutest player in town.   After running some errands and spending the afternoon with just Mom, ...

As if you didn't already know..   Frozen is hands down THE best movie ever made. Alright glad we established that.   Lately, it has been so crazy, chaotic, and cold.   It has been from snowing to sauna and everything in between.   But don't worry, we haven't ceased to enjoy every last bit of it. From the first of snowflakes we celebrated. there is just something about walking to class in the snow, with the most adorable chevron boots ever made. it does wonders for a person. The cold always brings fun time with friends.     I will walk across campus in the freezing cold, every minute of the day to get this magnificent view. Oh Lord, you are such a beautiful creator. Seahawk Superbowl!   Snowcones with sisters! Introducing Noel to THE greatest movie ever. {she loved it, of course} Man on the Hall night. and of course the snowpocalypse of 2014   which made p...
