Higher than the Mountains that i face..

Yesterday, was an AMAZING day.
It was my first REAL college tour.
After prayer forever, i feel like God has called me to this college, so when i saw that Open house was coming up, I registered and Yesterday was the day to go!!

As we packed into a colesium FULL of thousands of students I just remember thinking, wow.
How different College is.

But i could get used to having my quiet time right here every day.

and having dinner on the water.

The campus is SO beautiful.

we walked SO much i thought my legs would fall off.
Our 1st tip of advice was:
"Here at App, the freshman 15 doesn't exist"
Rightly so.

The college of Education was BRAND New and SO beautiful. We got a complete tour and i was amazed.

And we even ran into my Aunt and cousin, Roomies? ;)




We had lunch in the dining hall. We even got to chat with some Students and tour their rooms.










Go Mountaineers!

    I'm so glad!!! I feel called to App State too, and Boone is just gorgeous! :D hopefully we'll see each other the next four years? :)

We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
