Puppy Love.

Image
After weeks of a preggo dog wobbling around on Sunday morning VERY early, i woke up to the cries of sweet puppies. :) We have absolutely adored loving on these sweet creatures and cuddling them all hours of the day!   -Austyn :)

So, do you come here often?

My brothers, are absolutely precious. On Saturday, i walked by the front door and saw them just sitting and talking. Seriously, how cute! They would die if they knew i took pictures, but thank goodness for windows! ;) I love them to death, and their talks by the tree! ;)   -Austyn :)

Just too tired..

There's no plan B..

In Sunday School for the past few weeks we've been focusing on a study of the book "Radical" by David Platt. The book essentially challenges us to be authentic christians who make a difference in the world.   Every week, i sit and just soak it all in. but I'm a word picture person. I have to relate it to personal things on a more understandable level. its just how i understand things.   So today, my dear sweet friend, who teaches my class, mind you it was 8am, started to talk about sharing the gospel with those who won't spend eternity in Heaven with us. I've been taking an evangelism class on Sunday nights and really trying to spread the gospel and reach out to those around me.   As she started to talk to us about sharing God's word, she expressed that there is no Plan B. Christians are the ONLY way to share God's word. theres NO other way to help others to christ.   and as we talked we discovered how Coca-Cola has done a bett...

It's like knowing someone you've never met..

After blogging for many years, a little under 2 years ago i found a precious blog, Ashton's. Just reading to see how other teens with adopted siblings cope with it, i never even imagined the joy that would come out of it. For the past 2 years almost, Ashton and I have communicated via facebook, text, twitter, calling, skype, whatever we can. We talk every day without fail and have become absolute best friends. For so long i felt weird calling someone i'd never met, my best friend. But she's more than that. She's my twin, my parallel life living friend, my supporter, my joke teller, my pity party listener, whatever i need her to be, she is to me. But we simply could not drag this on forever, So a few weeks ago when i found a college i wanted to visit near her house and had no school, i knew i had to go and FINALLY meet my best friend! Yesterday was THE day!   I woke up super early to clean the house and make sure everything was into place, the gps programmed,...

Stephen and I are very much alike. So much so that after seeing everyone else ride the dirt bike, he too wanted to join in. Me the same. I hate stuff like that and my fear remains but to see him ride it for the first time with dad was PRICELESS. but i promise you, just like me, he will never step foot on that dirt bike again. ;) so thankful sometimes that im not a boy, the thrill of it all, just terrifies me to no end. So glad he finally got to ride too!   -Austyn :)

This weekend, after much protest we finally were able to have a Family day and a bonfire that night. As i bought all the S'mores stuff my smile was from ear to ear. i LOVE bonfires and smores. And it was so sweet to have a night with the family.   -Austyn :)

Just a Ridin'

Image
On Saturday, dad got a lawnmower to tackle the task of our monstrous yard. For hours he mowed, and piled leaves and all i saw was two little boys just a ridin in the back. Smiling and giggling, like it was the party of their lives. It was such a beautiful day. and our little biker, had to do some laps around the yard. It was the perfect Saturday in the countryside.   -Austyn :)
