Nay-hoom.

Every day when i have free time at school, I adore opening up my bible and just searching for verses that jump out at me. I came home all in a blaze of glory a few nights ago that i had found this verse that i just loved.
 
"Mom, look what i found!"
as she corrected my pronouncing of Nahum, i could see the delight on her face as i rejoiced in my findings. She loves it. I can see the joy on her face as i grow in my faith.
 
The Lord, is such an awesome one. He is so loving, forgiving, peace giving, caring, kind and POWERFUL.
 
As i did my math homework over the weekend i couldnt help but just sit there and reminisce over my verse. So i sat there. for 30 minutes, and just typed my verse.
while it didnt miraculously complete my work. It did give me peace and acceptance of the Power of Our Lord.
 
Nahum 1:7
The Lord is Good, A stronghold in the day of trouble and he knows those who take refuge in HIM.
 
So next time you're having one of those, can i do this moments. take refuge in the FATHER.

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
