It's like knowing someone you've never met..

After blogging for many years, a little under 2 years ago i found a precious blog, Ashton's. Just reading to see how other teens with adopted siblings cope with it, i never even imagined the joy that would come out of it. For the past 2 years almost, Ashton and I have communicated via facebook, text, twitter, calling, skype, whatever we can. We talk every day without fail and have become absolute best friends. For so long i felt weird calling someone i'd never met, my best friend. But she's more than that. She's my twin, my parallel life living friend, my supporter, my joke teller, my pity party listener, whatever i need her to be, she is to me. But we simply could not drag this on forever, So a few weeks ago when i found a college i wanted to visit near her house and had no school, i knew i had to go and FINALLY meet my best friend!
Yesterday was THE day!

I woke up super early to clean the house and make sure everything was into place, the gps programmed, my gas tank filled and camera batteries charged. I was on pins and needles waiting to get to her house. I loaded up my stuff and treked.
I was a tad early so i ended up going to find her school and waiting for her in the parking lot, while my note on her windshield idea was way better, I silly enough couldnt find her car and there were students EVERYwhere. so i took a back row space with the construction workers.

We dropped off my car at her house after finding each other mid parking lot and stopping to hug and immediately began our adventures.

We toured neighborhoods, saw schools and pointed out the starbucks in the nursing home. Everything i'd heard ALL about for 2 years, right at my eye sight. it was pretty weird, i wont lie. I was so scared we would run into friends of hers i'd seen on the blog or facebook and i'd say their name without even thinking i'd never seen them before.

We then went to a precious lunch. Where our waiter was absolutely FULL of herself. Poor Ashton and I did all we could to put up with her "jokes" and antics. But enough was enough so we continued on to our adventures.

After meeting Ashton's parents and seeing the famous boutique ive heard so much about, we decided to go to the college to see the potential of it while we were so close. Our tour guide, Amanda. Was absolutely precious. the whole situation confused her, and me and Ashton cracked jokes the ENTIRE time, poor girl. We will definitely never be forgotten. it was so much fun to walk into the prayer chapel complete with a waterfall, and to watch a girl talk to the waterfall as she prayed, maybe we missed the water gods? It might have cracked us a big smile. We loved touring the "caff" which might have been evident because apparently Amanda thought it was pretty obvious we liked to eat out.. wonder why!? From beginning to end, we made so many inside jokes and enjoyed our time. But both were confident we would NOT be going there. Glad that our tour made our choice for us. But who doesnt love a good time and a free t shirt?

After heading back home and meeting Ashton's precious siblings, it was time i hit the road.
While the day was exhausting, i had the best time meeting and spending the day with my bff. And to say that we've met is a HUGE check off the list.
Next time we just won't wait 17 years! ;)

Thank you sweet Ashton for such a wonderful day! Now come see me soon!
