A piece of Jesus.
Lately, I've really been focusing on what it looks like to be a follower of Jesus.
not just to say you're a christian, but to truly BE a christian.
This week, with my two friends I began to glimpse.
One of my sweet friends truly showed me what it meant to BE like Jesus.
She didnt even try, yet she always reminded me.
She was so innocent, and sheltered, but she didnt mind.
With each meal, she would pray and thank God for anything and everything.
With every second she was gracious.
With every spare moment you could find her with her bible, reading like there was no tommorow and like she had caught hand on the greatest gift alive.
While making her meals, she would sit at the table to search the pages for her next chapter in between the beeps of the oven.
When the TV was on, she wanted to be watching the Bible series, or an innocent 80's cartoon.
With every chick flick, she would turn at the sight of a homosexual and wanted no part in premarital sex scenes.
She was so calm and quiet and never sparked an opinion. But always made sure that we were founded on biblical truth.
When we spouted about husbands she wanted to make up no ideal plan for her life, because God has other plans, she would tell us.
As much as we started to joke and say that she needed an eye into the 21st century, I think really we just needed an eye into being a follower of Jesus.
And i think that as much as i want to be like her, I want to be like Jesus.
I want to follow, wherever, whenever, whatever.

Love this Aus and so many could learn from your precious friend. ..and you! Love her answer about God's provision over her future husband. She is very fortunate to have that kind of grip on biblical perspective at her age...and she is blessed to have a friend who is grounded enough in The Word at 17yrs old to appreciate what a treasure a friend like her is. LOVE you and your heart for Christ. Keep on being exactly you. Beautiful in every way. ♥
