Firing Flame!

Is this really possible?

Senior year is FLYING by!
Its MARCH, and us Seniors are counting down the days.
Tommorow is Senior trip and then Spring break and then, its time.
We're all excited, but the moment we start getting real we wanna cry.
It's just an emotional subject. ;)
 
The journey to pick a college has been such a trying, testing, and often times emotional wrecking experience. For so long I had my heart set on a certain school, and prayed that God would close the door if that wasn't meant to be. He quickly asserted that indeed that was not where he had planned. After months and months of trusting, he FINALLY opened the doors and led me to a wonderful wonderful school.
 
and last weekend me and my dear friend headed up together to check our new Home away from Home.







and being reunited with my precious friend from my old school, was too great for words.
So happy to have her next year as a possible room mate, and learn the roundabouts of college.


I came home with Mom a sticker, and she knew it was where I was meant to be.

Me and all my school spirit, are so beyond ready to pack it up and head to life in Virginia in August. But for now, i'll just soak up the Senior Sun.

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. Waiting for graduation, waiting to know what the rest of my life is going to look like, waiting on contract updates and internship approvals, waiting on interviews, Creation studies to END (forever and ever amen), leases to run out, May to arrive and my next chapter to begin. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
