following grace

I absolutely cannot believe its been 6 years.   Six absolutely amazing years with our little Stephen Isaiah!   And since I cant be home to celebrate.. here's some fun memories over the years..   No one could complete our family more perfectly! We love you SIL!   Happy Happy Family Day!   -Austyn

  I just have some days where I don't understand at all. I ask God why and he continues to remind me, that just as his word states He works all things together for the good of those who love him.   We are hurting today. As a body of believers As a campus As a hall As a close knit group of friends Individually.   We are broken. We are wholeheartedly trusting in the Lord to bring us peace and comfort and to bind our broken hearts to the Savior.   He is the ultimate healer, and though sometimes his plans don't make sense to us we know that he will be glorified and he remains in control and able.   Please keep our school in your prayers as we face this tragic loss and try to figure out why things like this happen. God is so good and has given us such wonderful support and encouragement and used this to bring us together.   And please pray for my close knit group of friends as we come together to suppo...

A week from Friday is Thanksgiving break y'all! My heart could not be happier.   So blessed by this 1st semester, but SO ready to see Christmas break, 5 weeks in all of it's glory. Fall, is my favorite!   I love all things cold, leaves changing, hot cocoa with big colorful marshmellows, friends, fires, and fellowship, big cute scarves, boots, pumpkins, hay rides, all of it I just love it.   Fall in college is all the more fun, because you have unlimited activities and plenty of awesome people to do them with. Bonfires and smores last weekend for homecoming. Late night coffee house visits with your entire hall and brother dorm. Makes for good games of Scrabble and many laughs.   Wow, when people said college was crazy, they werent kidding.   Life gets so overwhelming sometimes and I just forget where I am, what it is I'm supposed to be doing.   After a rough morning, I sat down to have some quiet time and I flipped open my devotional, and God placed exactly what I needed to read right in front of me. Don't you love when he does that?   Make my steps secure through your promise. Psalm 119:133   God promises us trials in this life, but just because life is hard doesn't mean it cant improve and just because life's going good, doesn't mean trial is soon to come.   We are to remain hopeful that he will protect us, he is always with us and provides for us. He promises to never abandon us or leave us and to use everything for our own good, if we are willing to let him.   I'm such a worrier, I am convicted by it daily. Im pretty sure when I woke up this morning and realized it was October, I about had a heart attack. Where has the time gone?   Tomorrow starts fall break, Im going HOME thank you Jesus!!   But first let me catch you up on life at Liberty.. For me and my prayer leaders birthdays, we decided to get fish, and we went together. Edmond and Garner are the darling-est glub glubs around!   Back in late September my precious Children of the World choir came to LU to sing and do a concert. It made my heart oh so happy after so many years apart. I experienced my first Hockey game And almost got nailed in the face with a HUGE puck Thank you kind Liberty gentlemen for catching it an inch before my forehead did.
