A heart made New.

While college is absolutely beyond wonderful, and I have much to post on that soon..
 
I wanted to intercept my little crazy schedule and homework time to share my greatest joy..
 
As you all know, my prince, my Korean brother is my heart and soul. I adore him with every fiber in my being.
 
And tonight when I was reminded he was getting baptized, I was absolutely broken.
I was excited, but so sad that I couldn't be there to congratulate him and hug him a little tighter.
I'm so proud of what God is working in his life, and so honored to have been sent pictures.
All my friends got right around the pool and texted me their pictures, each and every one.
I was so overwhelmed with love, and so thankful to be there in spirit.
 
Look at this little cutie..
Starting 3rd grade tomorrow.
What an amazing way to start a new school and school year.
 
 
I love you little bit.

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. Waiting for graduation, waiting to know what the rest of my life is going to look like, waiting on contract updates and internship approvals, waiting on interviews, Creation studies to END (forever and ever amen), leases to run out, May to arrive and my next chapter to begin. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
