Remembering..

A year ago today i posted here about my great grandmother going to be with the Lord.
Today as i drove home from church i remembered seeing her picture on facebook and i broke down inside.

God has called us to be his light to the world. to shine his light in the darkness. My great grandma was just that. She lived her life for JESUS. She had a givers heart, she reached out to her community and she knew that God had a master plan and did what she needed to follow it.

Even though we don't have her with us today. Everytime i think about my future and the plan God has for my life i can't help but remember her always encouraging me to follow his wishes for my life. There are some days i feel him talking to me and i just get instant joy thinking about her words to me and i know that she is smiling down on me.

We miss you Momoe! I know Jesus is preparing a wonderful birthday party for you next week!
May you dance in his arms and live happily in peace and free from pain!
We love you!





This picture just brings tears to my eyes. As long as i can remember my grandmother was in so much pain that we always visited her bedside. I wish i would've been old enough when she was joyful and energetic to enjoy those fun times with her!

I miss you so so much Momoe! I can't wait to be able to enjoy your joy and energy someday in Heaven with the KING of all kings!

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
