Friday night fun

A few weeks ago a family i babysit for pretty often asked me if they could snag my Friday night. Being that i love these kiddos and i had missed the football games two weeks in a row i figured why not? {some true fanhood right there. whoops}

She texted me that afternoon and ask me if i minded taking the kids to the school fair after the oldest love got home from dance. Entertainment without trying. Absolutely!!

So after she arrived home we threw her dinner in a napkin loaded up into the stroller and away we went.
After walking around for 20 minutes saying "lets keep walking" they finally decided to give in at the Hair paint station.

idk about you, but looking at that guy's hand makes me wanna run for my life.

Being that the fair ended soon after we hit up a few more games quickly so i didnt take pictures.

When we got home we enjoyed our cupcakes, cotton candy, and popcorn that we scavenged while at the festival. Such a good babysitter. :)

instead of sitting around all night watching movies we decided to play dress up.


Olivia, the oldest kiddo says she tells everyone i look like Snow White. this makes me laugh. idk why on earth she thinks that but i thought it was ironic how little love Amelia picked the Snow White outfit to put on as her first choice.

After watching Hotel For dogs and playing some more i decided we should try to get that sticky nasty cotton candy off little love's face.
What a clean cutie! :)

We had a fun night, and although sad i missed the football game again i enjoyed my time with these kiddos and I am thrilled to be attending this Friday night!! Been missing my Friday night lights!!

We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
