An addiction with benefits..
Many years ago i found myself sitting down at my computer to start what i had no idea would become my life line some days. Im trying with every day to journal more about ME and less about my life events. My mom started one for my brother's adoption journey and you know what they say; Like mother, like daughter. I remember the bright pink fonts and the cute little email address. Funky girly music from all the latest disney shows. Every girls dream. To have her own website, her own BLOG.
Never in a million years did I see myself now... Developing my photography, acing my research papers because of my silly little click into the world, having crazy talented friends who could spice my design up, and never did i think that i would've met the girl who is practically my best friend.
Sisters are pretty awesome, adoption is pretty awesome and when adoptive sisters get together and start blogging you make for some wonderful times and even more wonderful friendships.
About a year ago i was reading my friends journey to her next sibling from China and i saw that sweet Ashton had redone her blog. Another teen girl who blogs about her siblings, lets check it out. I commented to say that her blog was cute and so were her siblings, you know the usual. Then came a facebook request some messages, exchanging numbers and before we could see it we were talking every minute of the day. When i got home from school i had messages waiting, pictures sent to me throughout school, jokes to keep my laughter up to par, silly little quirks from both sides. Just silly things that made us grow closer and closer. Come to find out Ashton not only was only two weeks younger than me but even more so that we are alike in every way. God is so personal but goodness he was having a double day or something when he made me and Ashton.
It still to this day amazes me how me and Ashton will talk about the most random subject and every word out of her mouth is straight from mine.
Our eating habits
our girl talk
our music
our clothes
our opinions
our wisdom
our boys
our friendships
our school days
our fashion
our love for Jesus
our siblings
our lives
our parents
our rules
our college interests
our careers
every.
stinkin.
thing.
God has blessed me with many things in my life but i do not love a blessing greater than a lifelong friend. And Ashton has earned that title. Thanks to Miss Blog O' mine.
Thank you Ashton for always being there, making me laugh, being the shoulder i need to cry on, and even sharing your hilarious sarcasm when needed. You are truly the best friend.
So thankful for God giving me someone so beautiful inside and out such as you.
I hope you go far in life and never lose sight of this friendship we have grown.
-Austyn :)
