It's the little things..

like good results from the cardiologist that make you realize how GREAT our God is!


Thank you all my faithful prayer warriors! And thank you to all who are concerned! Since this is my scrapbook and people are asking me i'll do a quick update... and because it puts me at ease to come back and read my adventures throughout life.

Today was my followup appointment at the Cardiologist. For those of you who don't know i was born with a heart condition that was fixed when i was a newborn. Over the years i've always had to visit the heart doctor and last summer the doctor felt i would need surgery because of a backleak in my right ventrical. So today we went to find out if that open heart surgery was still necessary.

The appointment went very smoothly. My EKG looked wonderful and the Dr. said that the Ultrasound looked the same as last summer which is good. No further progression of enlargement on the rightside. So NO surgery!!! <3 I was more than happy to be the lab rat to all the medical school students if it meant good results. PTL!

 the only down part is im stuck with a million cords and a monitor on me for 24 hours...

what a sight.


Im starting to feel the annoyance that a diabetic does having to carry my pouch around with me.


only 20 hours left! oh boy..


and who doesnt love lunch with momma and filling your "roo cup" for $.25.


Thanking God for wonderful news and praying that the heart monitor results come back well in the next few weeks!

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
