Turn it around, upside down.

Every person has there different quirks but when people ask me for tips on taking pictures my number one favorite is angles.

It is ALL about the angles. It is amazing to me how you can turn the camera 100 times and get a completely different picture every time.

Here are a few I took yesterday.
for this one i really loved how the bricks had the roughness to them. So i got under them and took the picture from the ground.

for this one i'm pretty sure i just turned my camera at an angle and shot.

I put my camera lens right against the wood and shot straight to focus on the wood with the background being the sunset.

this one i sat on the bench and put my camera at an angle against the top rail.

for this one it was difficult and i don't love it but if i would've been completely flat on the ground it would look totally different.

again i just angled my lens.

put the lens against the rail but not too close because of the poles you see.

taking pictures is SO much fun, once you get some favorite techniques you just snap away.

We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
