So when are you coming back?

As if i haven't said it enough times to make your ears bleed, i stinkin love my job.
And every day i'm thankful i take pictures and can look back and laugh at silly moments and the memories made every time i watch kiddos.

Last night was a spur of the moment date night for my neighbors and a perfect night for me and the kiddos. We started out with pizza and cinnamon sticks, K's fav!
After a brief play time with the neighbors we decided to do our tradition of wacky nail painting.
we never can just simply paint them. Stripes, slashes, dots, mixing colors and being bold are a MUST. For any princess of course!


except for me, i kept mine clean for church. party pooper.

after nail painting we decided a clean princess never hurt anyone, so bath time was iniciated.

and WHAT is bath time without bubbles and a beard! Unheard of!

and right when we started our movie, little brother let us know he wasn't going to miss out. guess his early bed time wasn't workin for him.

so he joined the party. omg could you eat him up.

those eyes. *swoon* gimme gimme.

He snuggled up in my lap and layed his head against me and i thought for just a *little* second i was in heaven.




can ya tell i was a little ecstatic about capturing those sweet faces.
Dear Lord, when i grow up can i have a quiet snuggly sweet baby like Mr. C?! Please!

what a good night. besides, who doesn't love dance parties and photoshoots!? ;)
and the seller point was Miss K telling her mommy after i left "Oh i just love Miss Austyn!"

    And now the secret is out...Austyn is the best babysitter ever! Thanks so much for taking such good care of our little ones. I gotta say, I think Connor enjoyed your visit just as much as Katie did! I know you're gonna make a wonderful mama some day!

We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
