A day in the country..

A few days ago when a friend couldn't sit for someone, i offered to take the job so that the lady could throw her baby shower. On Saturday i drove out to country to spend the day with these two precious kiddos. We had SO much fun and they were so well behaved! Double win!
we started off with delicious pb sandwiches.

And i started to snap.

and he started to work it.

then we took a walk because it was SO beautiful i couldnt let us stay inside!

We almost got lost because of the poor street signs. Kidding!

We enjoyed hours outside swinging before nap time.

and big brother pushed sissy. So cute!

we went on adventures looking for treasures.

and we decided nap time was not in the budget. Drat!

we played in the toy boxes, instead of with the toys! ha

and we enjoyed push up pops. they loved me!


Im pretty sure if i looked this cute eating ice cream, i'd do it every day!

and look at that precious mess.


It was a wonderful day well spent!

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
