A Happy Heart Makes a Face Cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.
Our Valentines was very relaxed but the best one I've had so far.
I stayed up late the night before praying and thinking about one day spending this day with my love. And making silly finger puppets. :)

Stephen's box sat ready to be filled with cards and candy from his little friends.

He addressed each card as we packaged them up for distribution.

I finished my puppets.

And we had a show. It was quite cute.

And I smiled as my cute little brother set his stuff out for his sweet girlfriend. Little love. So cute!

Yesterday morning we got up and got ready for our day. I made breakfast for Stephen and we shared cute conversations over Fruit Punch and pancakes. Best sister ever!

I bribed him for a picture. But at 6am this is the best we get. Go us!

I got a few cute cards and candies. I ate enough sugar to last a lifetime. Mom made one of my favorites for dinner and we called it a day.

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
