Partying with Pizza.

We've established a few new "rituals" in our house since Dad has been gone.

One of my personal faves is Cici's pizza night. Nothing like pizza and even sometimes a movie with your family. Good ole bonding time. Love it!

So this week when Mom said we were having our friends over for pizza night i was so excited.
We met this lovely family through the miracle of adoption and soon they will be bringing home their sweet baby boy. So exciting!

I had so much fun hearing about all the adoption things, as i plan to adopt one day. 


Mrs. K even ever so kindly brought a cake to let us enjoy together. It was delish!

Hilariously enough she is a dedicated reader of my blog. yay!! I love writing for me but i love when i write and know that others are reading it also!!

Thanks K and A for joining us! We can't wait to meet baby Caleb!! :)

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
