Foreign.

Blogging. It's considered a foreign language in my book. Some people pour out their souls into their blogs. I wish i had the courage for that. But let's be honest. I barely blog my happenings let alone my feelings..

Let me show you why..

I give you Exhibit A. Chinese/ Korean New Year and it takes me an HOUR to get three pictures.
and he's crying in every one.

Sometimes i just don't have patience to fight the tears for a picture to post. It's not worth it. And i'm so busy i don't have time to wait on him to get his act together. Or anyone for that matter.

He better be glad he's cute. Too bad these photos can't be framed.
Oh the drama. some days i could really do without.

Maybe if i tell him EIGHT year olds don't cry.. I seriously can't believe he will be 8 in a matter of days. WHERE does the time go?!

Y'all. its been a while. Holy cow. I was talking with a friend this morning about life and this waiting game of a season that the Lord has me in right now. Waiting for graduation, waiting to know what the rest of my life is going to look like, waiting on contract updates and internship approvals, waiting on interviews, Creation studies to END (forever and ever amen), leases to run out, May to arrive and my next chapter to begin. We are Family.

All my brothers, sister and me.   A week after leaving my sweet family, they came to visit. Guess they missed me ;)   Their 24 hours here flew by but it was such a refresher and so nice after my first week back. And it makes the month before I see them again, not seem so crazy long.   My siblings and dad had never been to the campus, so we enjoyed touring around and even getting some fun filled hours at the Snowflex. The boys LOVED it. And I just loved them being here to do it with me for once. :)   It was the perfect family weekend.   Now back to those books..   Have a great week y'all! -Austyn

Plans for prosperity and hope..

This morning as Stephen and I listened to Bruno Mars' song "Marry you" and talked sweet talks of pure preciousness he drew my future family. As he drew me, blue as i'll ever be. and my sweet husband. and the bunk beds, treehouses and basements. the staircase leading to the sky and my huge house that really isnt needed.   he also drew two black kids. My Ethiopian babies! Oh how i dream of adopting from Ethiopia. And how precious that he drew them not even knowing i did want to adopt. Seriously, how precious are those little Ethiopian prince/ princess (s). Only two because "i dont want you to work too hard" Be still my heart.   -Austyn :)
